| SEPTEMBER 2007 | By Alexander: Less than one month until conXious will support Sieges Even playing at the 13th of October at the club 'Reigen' . In advance I had the chance to listen to their new album PARAMOUNT, a few weaks before it is released. In my opinion PARAMOUNT is one of the best Prog-Releases 2007. There is still the clear confession to transparancy and melody. But there are new elements - the sound is more heavy and you have electronic and modern elements. New Keyboarder with conXious We decided to add a new dimension to our sound. All the years we were focused on a 'down to earth' sounds with no keys. Now, still looking for a new singer, we find that it is the right time, to make a change. All the qualities of the conXious sound will prevail, but we will have the chance to open our boundaries. May I introduce to you: Yoshi Strik
"Hi folks! I'm the newest addition to the conXious bunch. I play the keyboards and would like to give you just a brief synopsis about my musical background. Well I started out with classical piano around the age of six. Later on I was attracted by various kinds of extreme metal such as death, black and grind. As you may know keyboards don't play a significant role in those genres, so my first experiences with prog rock sparked my interest in synthesizers. So around the early 2000s I started my main band Goat Orchestra (still active!) which combines all my influences ranging from Prog and Metal to Jazz and Classical Music and where I'm also responsible for the majority of the songwriting (www.goatorchestra.com). So why am I here now? Well if you have the opportunity to play gigs with the elite of international prog you don't need any further reasoning. Alexander (Guitar) came up with the thought to add some keyboards to the conXious sound and since we knew each other from several concerts one thing lead to another. I'm really happy and thankful for this new challenge and hope to make my contribution. So I'm looking forward to meeting you soon. Cheers!" |

| JUNE 2007 | Hottest gig ever conXious were to play at the DIF 2007. And we played, when it was really hot. We had about 35° C. I think the stage was one of the friendliest places, because we had some shade and fresh air blowing. Some of the audience seamed to be surprised – we were preceded by bands called Folterkammer aso and we played a real child-friendly set. That was the greatest thing about the show: Matteo and Leon – our kiddies – saw for the first time their fathers on stage. And they were really impressed. My son Matteo told everyone he saw: 'Papa, papa Bühne'. I think he is a little bit proud of his ol' father.

| MAY 2007 | It was an amazing experience to have Spock's Beard here in Vienna! Their unique show literally blew the audience away, and the audience was eager to show its gratitude! Never before have we seen such a cheerful crowd. All in all both bands had a lot of fun and we'd be very happy to welcome Spock's Beard back as soon as they find the time to return. | AUGUST 2006 | Many thanks to all the Proggies who came to the ‘Liquid Scarlet/Goat Orchestra/conXious’ night. Even 36° C couldn’t stop us from having a great party. LS promised to get back to us and I think that next time we will have to take a much bigger venue. LS with no doubt got some new and true fans, at least the whole conXious-bunch!

| Riverside and conXious made a perfect match on the small stage of the Bach, which was completely crowded with people wearing Dream Theater, Opeth, PoS and Marillion T-Shirts. It was a special pleasure for us to see T-Shirts of ARENA and THE FLOWER KINGS, from their previous gigs with us here in Vienna, and even some conXious T-Shirts! Again we learn: there is a vivid Prog scene in Vienna. And this confers dignity upon what conXious does with bringing these great bands here. Keep coming back to this site to see what we'll come up with next! Riverside definitely will have a great future and we wish them all the best. In Holland and Germany they play for crowds like over 400 people. In Vienna we at least filled the Bach. And we think, that we did a good job, to spread their name here in Austria . With a perfect match we mean that our sort of Prog-hardrock with no keys and fast changing vibes gave the right contrast to the lyrical and very professional Art-Rock of Riverside . We hope to see all of you again. Cheers to our fans, especially to our new Hungarian friends – thanks for the compliments; thanks to all who bought our CDs – let us know how you like it; thanks to all those Prog Heads who stood in front of the stage, banged, danced and rocked with us and very special thanks to RIVERSIDE – Come back soon! |

On August 26 at the Austrian Band Contest we made a 2nd place in the jury voting!!! The show we did that day was just great!
